The Council meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., at the Harris Community Center, 401 N. Alexander Street.

Can I pay for City services with a credit card?
Yes, payment for most major City services can be made by credit card, including utility services, ambulance runs, municipal court fines, and building permits. There is a 4% service fee for paying with a credit card, which is used to offset merchant fees paid to credit card companies on these transactions.

Where can I find the City budget and annual audit?
City budgets and audits for the last three years are posted on the City's website. For fiscal years prior to this, contact the Finance Department at 254-933-5800.

Does the Library have public access computers
Yes. Computers are available for patrons, with a time limit of one hour each day.

Is there a cost for using the library's public computers?
No! It is free to use the library's computers. Just check in at the front desk when you come to the library!

Are patrons able to print from the library's public computers?
Yes! Printing charges are $0.20 a page for black and white copies, and $2.50 for a full page of color printing.

How do I obtain a library card? Is there a cost?
To receive your library card, you will need to fill out a postcard. That postcard is then mailed to you. Once you receive the postcard, bring it back to the library with your driver's license or ID and a library card will be issued to you and anyone in your household that wishes to receive one. There is no cost for your first library card; however, if you need to replace your library card, it is $3.00.

Does the library send faxes for the public?
No. The library does not send public faxes.

Does the library have a Children's Storytime?
Yes! Every Wednesday morning, the library holds a Preschool Storytime at 11:30. We also offer a 6-week Summer Reading Program for school-age children during their Summer break! Call the library to receive more details.

Is the library a Wireless Hot-Spot?
Yes! Just come to the library with your laptop, and enjoy free internet services right from your own computer!

How do I get a street light in front of my house?
Those requests are made to the Public Works Department. Public Works will forward the request to the electric utility.

Where do I find a backflow prevention form?
The backflow prevention form is in our Document Center, click the link below. You are required to furnish the City of Belton with a copy of your BPAT Certificate and gauge test report each year. Mail it to City of Belton, PO Box 120, Belton, Texas 76513 Attention: Asst. Public Works Director. If you have questions, call 254 933-5824.
